Sharanya Shankar

Sharanya completed her honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto- Trinity College with a Specialization in Global Health and a minor in Physiology. Her undergraduate degree helped her explore her passion for reproductive physiology and women's and infant's health. She is now a Master of Science student in the Lye Lab where her research seeks to characterize whether a novel anti-inflammatory therapeutic, BSCI, that prevents preterm birth in mice, can improve fetal and neonatal outcomes, also preserving reproductive potential.
